Combination of oils and beeswax with crushed fig stone granules plus a refreshing minty taste = happy lips :-) How easy was that review!

Packaging:  The TBS Lipscuff is a light green product with scrubby and comes packaged in a tube exactly like a lipstick tube.  Plus points for the easy packaging. Easy to carry and use just about anywhere.

How to Use the The Body Shop Lipscuff  - Gently apply Lip Scuff over ips and rub them together  to help scrub the lips.  Remove any residue with a tissue. Use one to two times per week, or as required.  That's the suggested usage.  What I do is apply a generous amount on my lips and then scrub with my finger.  Then, I take an old (softer) toothbrush and gently brush my lips.  I find this method to be more effective in getting rid off all the scrubby bits and/or dead skin over the lips.  Of course, if I don't have time and/or I am not at home, I just apply, scrub, and wipe off with tissue as recommended.  I have to apply a lip balm immediately afterwards or my lips tend to get dry.

What I love about the TBS Lip Scuff:
- Easy packaging - easy to carry, easy to use.  You can scrub your lips just about anywhere.  Just scrub and wipe.
- TBS has frequent sales, so you can pick this up at a good price.
- Has sunscreens in it.
What I don't like:  Unless you apply the product generously, you could end up with dried lips, making it look like you were better off before you started the whole process.  Applying a lip balm before using the scuff helps a little bit, and you definitely need to use the lip balm immediately after scrubbing.  A tube doesn't last very long with that kind of regular use.  My toothbrush method does avoid this problem, but you definitely cannot do that if you are anywhere outside your home.

TBS Lipcare 01 - Translucent
Like the TBS Lipscuff, this too comes in a lipstick packaging.
The TBS Lipcare is a lip balm of sorts in a stylish lipstick packaging.  The formula is not as soft and easily squished like a lip balm - holds its shape like a lipstick - but it feels quite moisturizing on the lips and as a bonus also has sunscreen in it.  This packaging and design makes it convenient (and pretty) to carry and reapply.  It does contain talc, and some people might have a problem with that.  As with any product, check ingredient list before buying. I really cannot think of any negatives for this product.

TBS Lipcare - Ingredients:  Hydrogenated Polydecene (Skin Conditioning Agent), Talc (Absorbent/Bulking Agent), Polyethylene (Opacifier), Hydrogenated Polyisobutene (Emollient), Hydrogenated Coco-Glycerides (Emollient), Phenyl Trimethicone (Emollient/Hair Conditioner), Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate (Sunscreen), Lanolin Oil (Skin Conditioning Agent), Ozokerite (Stabiliser/Binder), Mangifera indica (Emollient), Sclerocarya birrea (Skin Conditioning Agent), Boron Nitride (Bulking Agent), Octyl Salicylate (Sunscreen), Lecithin (Stabiliser/Emulsifier), Tocopheryl Acetate (Antioxidant), Panthenol (Skin/Hair Conditioning Agent), Propylparaben (Preservative), Methicone (Skin Conditioning Agent), Ricinus communis (Emollient), Tocopherol (Antioxidant), CI 77491 (Colour), CI 77492 (Colour).  Cost:  Rs. 545/4 g ($14/0.14 oz)

As I said before, I love the pricing on these products because of the frequent TBS sales. TBS has discounts on some product or the other all through the year, and if you wait long enough you can snag these at pretty good rates. These are clubbed under the makeup section, so times when you get makeup bundles on sale - which is quite often - you can get attractive discounts on these too.

These were the very first products I bought from TBS. Do you use products from TBS - what was your first purchase?

  3. I am a proud lushie but I have to admit TBS is fast catching up, ESP with their awesome discounts! Loved the Sweet Lips scrub and am definitely buying it sometime but from what I tried of it at the store the only irritating part was the sugar bits were impossible to take off till I got to water - can't just wipe them off! They are yummy scrubs tho:-)
