L'Oreal Color Riche lipsticks are one of my drugstore favorites - they go on smooth, pack decent colour, and are definitely one of the more moisturizing lipsticks I own. The L'Oreal Color Riche Star Secrets range is a specially designed range, each colour representing a L'Oreal brand amabassador, and while the colour selection in this range is a bit limited, it does cover a wide range of skin tones, so everyone will find something they will like in this. Mila's Plum is my favorite.
This is a mauve-pink lipstick - not really dark, but something that would look great on all skin tones and definitely makes my teeth look whiter! I picked this (along with a couple of other lipsticks) a long while ago, back in the days when Longs Drugs wasn't yet CVS, and there were discounts to die for.
Cost: About $7 (About Rs. 700 in India - Shoppers Stop carries a shade Mila's Purple which I suspect is the renamed version sold in India)
Swatch:
On my lips, have used only the lipstick here - no liner. In real life, I would use a liner because my lips are unevenly pigmented.
Overall, my thoughts on the L'Oreal Color Riche Star Secrets range:
* Decent moisturization.
* Good colour payoff.
* All lipsticks in this range have a distinctive smell/fragrance to them. I don't have a problem with it, but some people might not like it.

ReplyDeleteI don't feel like working on Friday at alllllll..so much wanna go to UB City and checkout some Estee Lauder stuff there!! :(
ReplyDeleteHahhhaaaa...you going na this weekend..me want to eat something yummy :) :) Never tried EL..
ReplyDeleteI have to try, after the session with that cutie..he he...some recommendations from him atleast!! :P
ReplyDeleteI knowww...what recco did you get..I got the Blue Dahlia palette..I had seen it online..have to check it in a store.
ReplyDeletehe recommended me just 2 stuffs, but me gonna try following stuffs too:
ReplyDelete- Double Wear Light Foundation
- Day Wear Plus spf 15 tinted moisturizer
- Estee lauder translucent loose powder
- Nutriv Ultimate Lifting face and eye creme
- Advanced Night Repair
They are all sooooooooper prizey so Advanced night repair and translucent powder are just trials...I definitely will get the Double Wear Light Foundation as I am over with my current foundation!! :P
Haaa..you will have to loot a bank if you get addicted to EL skincare :D but sometimes I feel the pricey ones are not all just brand name...they are actually pretty good too.
ReplyDeleteYou can always ask for samples for the skincare stuff, though.
ReplyDeleteyeah...thats why..planning to ask for samples for the rest of the stuff and only stick to the foundation this time!! :D
ReplyDeleteAnd tell me if they are the snooty kinds..I always get scared of these high-end brand ppl thinking they are snooty..and I make sure I go only to the nice SAs once I identify them :D :D
ReplyDeletehe he he...yeah sure!! :P
ReplyDeleteThat Nutriv Ultimate Lifting face and eye creme is for 11000 Rs.. lol looooooool!!!
ReplyDelete11000????????? Haahahahhaa..ok..not funny at all..hehehee..is like Lancome..the guy shows me this cream which he says is supergood and superluxurious so I was expecting some zeros there but he says 12000 and says ke its perfect gift for your mother. Ya..my mom would probably kill me and die herself too if I buy it :((
ReplyDeleteI am still laughing at the price..the girl who did the review said she wouldn't recommend it coz if you fall in love with the product then you are gone!!!....ha ha...It usually feels better to not miss something which you never had!! :P :P
ReplyDeleteOh that was a good review..give me a link naaa..me too want to read..
ReplyDeleteHere it is:
ReplyDeletehttp://www.temptalia.com/estee-lauder-re-nutriv-ultimate-youth-creme
Oh temptalia..I love her reviews..feel like she just tells everything correctly..well at least most of the reviews I have read of her are like that :)
ReplyDeleteHehehe am reading the review now..she is GOOD. Btw..the same ingredient is also there in Clinique - Youth Surge line I think..the one that has a turtle as its brand ambassador. Its a zero lesser at least I think :D
ReplyDeleteyeah...I love her reviews too...!! :-) do we get Clinique products at H&G in Bangalore?
ReplyDeleteNooo you won't get Clinique in an H&G...there is a counter in Lifestyle, Koramangala, and one in Shoppers Stop, Garuda Mall.
ReplyDeleteohh...okiee!! thanks! :)
ReplyDeleteI was trying to search the product in clinique I read about but I cannot find it..all I can remember is it has a turtle in the pic :-((
ReplyDeleteOhhhh..my disclaimer...don't buy it immediately okay..I got a sample of a product antiaging kinds..from another brand..and it makes my skin get teeny tiny rashes kinds of pimples. So I wouldn't really recommend buying these antiaging stuff without trying out first..
ReplyDeletehmmm yeah..I'd ask for samples first!! :-)
ReplyDeleteohhh EL gals in UB not snooty i found...i never bought anything there but they are nice....and offered me lots of services which i couldnt get cause was out of time... :(
ReplyDeleteHmmm okay...I like them :)
ReplyDeleteAnd if they turn out snooty I leave long complaining comments about them on your blog..hehehehheheheeee
ReplyDeleteOh that depends on what you find snooty =/
ReplyDeletethey were very professional and answered all my queries and offered me free samples without me asking and i left without buying a thing :D
but if you are like my friend Flavia thats with me in the blog, and that the SA has to become a childhood friend then i dont now :P
Awww Deb...no okay I won't leave long whining complaints on your blog. And I don't want a childhood friend, I want a professional who gives me some attention. My definition of snooty would include - nonsmiling (very important for me..give a genuine warm smile), looking at me like I am something the cat dragged in, not answering any questions properly, giving very clipped answers, not being enthusiastic about showing me products, etc., etc. :D :D :D :D That said, I think I would like Flavia heheheheheheee..childhood friend :D probably she is very friendly and cannot understand why nobody is friendly like her :D
ReplyDeleteLol, you just described her really :D you both would get along very well i know :) she is the nicest person, also a brazilian married to a indian, hers is tamil :) she is in brazil now but as soon as she comes back we will arrange a meet :D =*
ReplyDeleteI saw her pic on your blogger vacation post :D
ReplyDeletethis is the best one i must say!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteOh I love this one the most :D
