What's in your pocket? Mine has a Lush lip balm - or two - Lip Service and Whipstick :D
Lush lip balms come packed in these cute tin tubs - a bit bigger than a Rs. 2 coin - and contain 10 g of product.
Lush Lip Service
Lip Service is Lush's basic lip balm. Lush recommends, if you are not sure which one to get, get this one. Lip Service is a pale cream-yellow balm. The consistency is a bit hard, it is difficult to get the product to transfer on to my fingers, especially in colder climates. On warmer days, this is super soft and easy to take out and apply on the lips. In fact, Lip Service melts easily if it gets too hot.Lush Lip Service Lip Balm (available here) - Cost $6.95/0.3 oz
Lush says - Use it to soften it lips, heels, toes, cuticles and elbows. Yeah, for that price, I would absolutely use it on my toes and elbows!!!!!!!!Lush Lip Service Lip Balm Ingredients:
Lush Lip Balm Whipstick
Choclate-flavored lip balm for soft and tasty lips. Lush says: Whipstick is made for everyone who can't have cocoa butter or lanolin in their balms. We make it with a lip-soothing infusion of oats, beautiful almond and wheatgerm oils, plus beeswax for waterproofing.Err..I finished most of it :P |
Lush Whipstick Chocolate Orange Lip Balm Ingredients
Lush Whipstick Chocolate Orange Lip Balm (available here) - Cost $6.95/0.3 oz
Okay, so here's my take on Lush lip balms:The supercute small packaging is the one big plus point for them. To be honest though, that is the only thing cute about them. Sure they are good - they claim to give super soft lips, and they do, but then so does Nivea or Vaseline. Lush uses organic natural ingredients, and the cost of these lip balms reflect that, I suppose. If you don't mind paying big money for some superb natural organically sourced ingredients and/or are Lush crazy, these are GOOD. This is very much a luxury pampering pick for me, and of the two if I were ever to repurchase I would buy the choclate Whipstick :D
A tube of the Nivea lip balm would looks just as cute in a happy pocket and works great on the lips :D :D :D
