Clean and Clear Deep Action Cleanser
Claims - A long lasting oil-free look..
Packaging - Comes in a tube with a flip-open cap. Hygenic, yes, but the first few times I used this, it was almost impossible to get anything out of the tube. I opened the cap and checked thinking there was some kind of a flap covering the opening, but no, it was just terribly thick paste that just could not be squeezed out. After a few days though, its coming out okay.
First a bit of a disclaimer: I think Clean and Clear targets teenage skin, which generally is more oily and acne prone. I have acne-prone combination skin, but I agree it is not a teenage oily skin. Plus, I stay in Bangalore, a very drying climate at this time of the year.
Directions for Use:
My experience with the product: I found this product extremely drying. Fine, its meant for oily skin, and mine might not be that oily after all. However, Clean and Clear "Deep Action" Cleanser seems to go deep into my skin and strip just about everything EXCEPT the dirt. After washing with this, and wiping my face with a toner-soaked cotton pad, I would always find some residue from my makeup or whatever outside world residue was on my face. I even tested this to be sure - dabbed some MaxFactor cream blusher on my cheeks and washed with this cleanser. Dry dull face, but when wiped with the cotton pad, I managed to pick up some blush residue. So there you have it, miraculous product, deep cleans to give you an oil-free, stripped-face, like you were out strolling in Antartica without a face cream (it is how I think it would be like in Antartica since Ms. Hermioneeeeeee Rati clarified in the comments), but leaves the dirt alone.
I have not got any breakouts with using this. However, I try to follow this with the Kama Ayurveda soap-free cleanser, and I don't know if the credit goes to that or the face wash.
Needless to say, I am not recommending this to anyone. Oh wait, if you want to get a gift for the irritating teenage niece you just lovvvvvvvvvve, you can get her this!
Another disclaimer: This is purely my opinion of the product. A very inexpensively priced product (I don't remember the cost, but it was one of the cheapest ones on the shelf), you can always try it - never know, it might work for you.
