Souvenir

A souvenir (from French, for memory), memento or keepsake is an object a traveler brings home for the memories associated with it.

I invariably pick up fridge magnets. I know, that's so unimaginative, but that's what I like :)   And apparently the disease runs in the family, cos this is the fridge at my sister's place :D

  28. Oh, I'm a souvenir FREAK. I can't leave a country without buying a postcard and a fridge magnet... and if I see one, a little jug with the town's name on it (I seriously collect them), and a certain type (shape, material etc.) of badge. And that doesn't stop there, so if there are other stuff peculiar to the country or the city, I'm gonna fetch them if I find them cute (like I have a magic lamp from Egypt, too). :).

  29. Guess the majority is that kinds...I just don't like bigger/bulkier items..prefer tiny cute ones :D

Rati - This place we go shopping in naa..Spar..they keep them for sampling..a person keeps frying them fresh in a deep fat fryer/frier and we can munch on them - it helps all right I guess cos that's how we got addicted to Dinoz and bought them..but last time I tasted tikkis and now I want tikkis :D

    ReplyDelete
  44. woww- cool yaa- even we do that- earlier we used to egt things like tees and mugs but later shifted to fridge magnets :)

    ReplyDelete
  45. I never get tees..won't last forever/won't find the proper sizes..used to get mugs..but well firstly I am very prone to breaking anything breakable, plus at one point we had wayyyy too many mugs (till I started with the breaking) :D :D

  46. Rads..... u been to Shang Hai? what beauty brands we get there? can i get the Nars Orgasm?

    ReplyDelete
  47. Anks..no I was in Beijing..and that time my only makeup knowledge was Maybelline makes mineral foundation..so really I am hopeless..but China has almost all major international brands..so you just might find NARS there. Would recommend shopping only from some reliable high-end store though because at least in Beijing there was some unreliability on how original products can be.
