Dove Fresh Moisture Facial Foam - Cucumber and Green Tea Scent (Review)

Dove Fresh Moisture Facial Foam (Cucumber and Green Tea Scent) - Ages back, I had tried the Dove soap, but I have never really tried any other skincare product from Dove.  With the claim of 1/4 hydrating milk, their face wash seemed to be a safe thing to try in the dry Bangalore weather.  This comes in a small 50 mL tube - two colours - blue and green.  I picked up the green tube (Cucumber and Green Tea) since there were only two tubes of those, and I will pick up the blue one next time.

The simple no-fuss packaging is a squeeze tube with a flip-open cap.  It seems sturdy enough and not prone to accidental opening in a bag, but I have not tried carrying it around.  The product itself is lotion-like in consistency.  There is a very faint scent - so faint that it's almost not there.  I am not sure if I liked that or not - am not accustomed to using nonscented/barely scented products, so this is something I am still confused about.  The lather is creamy and soft.  The product washes off pretty easily, no annoying slippery films left behind, and does a very good job at cleaning.  In fact, it seemed so mild, I was very unsure it won't have cleaned well, but it is very effective.  No dry stretchy feeling to the skin either.

Verdict: Fabulous!  A very gentle yet very effective cleanser.  I think it would suit just about all skin types, and a great pick for those with sensitive skins.

Cost:  Rs. 75/50 mL

    1. Hi Zulfa,

I don't live in India right now, so I am not familiar with what is available in the market currently. This is an older post, and this product was available at that time. If you want something similar, I would suggest looking for a creamy cleanser with exfoliating beads (not a gel cleanser). Dove has 3 different face washes in India (all 3 new to me, and I just saw these now on their website). You can check these here: http://www.dove.com/in/skin-care/face-wash.html . If you have oily skin or for summers, you could try the Dove Pure face wash which seems to have some microbeads in it. Or you could pick one of the creamy foaming cleansers and mix a tiny tiny amount of a scrub in it and use that as a make-it-yourself/diy exfoliating face cleanser. Hope this helps :)
