TBS Brazil Nut Define and No Frizz Cream Review
The Body Shop Brazil Nut Define and No Frizz Cream |
This is a pale pale brown cream and has the consistency of a lotion. The first thing that I did notice about this, though, was the smell. It smells like caramel and looks like molten icecream, and I wanted to eat it up right away :P :P
How to Use TBS Brazil Nut Define and No Frizz Cream
Apply sparingly to damp hair and style as usual. Can also be used on dry hair between washes. I had some simple expectations from a product with simple claims plus it was on sale, so the tube joined the growing pile in my shopping basket.A conditioning cream that helps define curls and tame frizz, leaving your hair smooth, shiny and feeling great. |
TBS Brazil Nut Define and No Frizz Cream - My experience with the product
For me at least, this is a complete waste of money. It doesn't work. It doesn't control frizz. It does not define any curls. Nothing. Oh wait, that's not really true. It does do one thing - it made my hair rough and tangled. Or maybe that's how it controls the frizz - hair gets all rough and tangled, so no flying around and getting frizzy. It smells good - yummy - and that's all there is to it. If it was a harmless yummy-smelling cream, I won't have minded so much, but it made my hair feel like I had never ever conditioned it. Needless to say, I won't be buying this ever again.

HAWww too bad!! :( I wonder what in it causes your hair to become rough and tangled??? IS it that potassium sorbate? They should have included some alcohol in the ingredients!! hee hee...alcohol softens hair naa!! :D :D :D
ReplyDeleteDoes it? Goodness knows what in this is not working for me - I could have bought so many samosas and jalebis with this money :(
ReplyDeletehee hee!! :P :P and icecreammmmmmmmmmmmmmm
ReplyDeleteHAwwwwww..I just now read a datty news..how priyanka killed Anu kapoor in 7 khoon maaf!!!!!!!

ReplyDeletewow...ur reviews on TBS hair care is really frightening me...I wanted to try their hair treatment products though din see them ven I went there...din ask the SA though...
ReplyDeleteThe two things I tried were useless. My sis tried the Banana conditioner - with equally rotten reviews :D
ReplyDeleteI had always wanted to get this product because of those high claims. Too bad doesn't work. Would stay away now. :( :(
ReplyDeleteWow, thanks for the review... I am always on the look-out for my holy grail to tame my frizz into curls, so I guess I can scratch this one from the quest. I did like the banana line though, although not enough to justify the extra money it cost. I have frizz and a lots and lots of hair, so I go through hair products at mind boggling speeds ;-)
ReplyDeletethank goodness i read your review. too bad it didn't work. you know the hair butter did nothing for me either! Strange how anti-frizz products can do the opposite to your hair! I'll tell you what worked for my super frizzy, moody hair - baby hair oil followed with a hydrating shampoo and then Himalaya's detangler. My hair has never felt better and very little hair fall. I feel blessed!
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Rads!! :D
ReplyDelete*hunterwali* to the product...i stay away from all this anti frizz products ...i never know what they do to the hair...there is one serum called grapeseed serum in TBS...wht that does is ...the hair shines and it settles the frizzy hair...but am not sure how diff that is from an livon except it smells heavenly !!!!!
ReplyDeletegoood morning everyone !!!
ReplyDeleteGoooood morning/noon Priya and Cali :D :D
ReplyDeleteOhhh...Grapeseed is good? I knew I should have got that one instead of this stupid thing. My friend got that one :| :|
Anuya - Baby hair oil - never tried that one :) :)
ReplyDeleteDalaluz - Have you tried Curly Wurly shampoo from Lush? I have not tried it myself, but I have read some nice reviews for that.
Nivedita - guess am not going to recommend this one to you :)
ReplyDeleteafternoon :D .....i use it sparingly...i need to wash my hair next day...but it does settle down flyhair !!!
ReplyDeleteMy friend..she has thick thick hair..so that wont be a problem for her :D
ReplyDeletethen thats good.....when did they have members sale...i dont get all this maill ???:(
ReplyDeleteI got this long back, but there was a 20% sale pretty recently too. There is some sale going on now too, but I don't think its flat 20% off storewide. Next time I hear about it, will message you.
ReplyDeleteaah ok...i thought they had a members sale before the current 20% sale ....its on till i think feb 14th...i still hv not been able to go...i am resisting myself so much....
ReplyDeleteI am not going anywhere - even to the nearby vegetable shop - nope :|
ReplyDeleteHi Rads!! :D
ReplyDeleteand Hi Priya!! :D :D
ReplyDeleteand why do you want to stay confined at home Rads??
ReplyDeletehehe...hi cali....
ReplyDeleteI m using TBS anti dndruff ginger shampoo and its pretty useless too....my search for HG shampoo continues....
ReplyDeleteI am using Syoss Shampoo and I like it!! :P :P :P
ReplyDeleteCali - because the veg shop might be selling turmeric roots and I might want to buy that to grind and put on my face as a DIY face mask!!!
ReplyDeleteFarha - Generally, TBS seems to be superbly useless with haircare :D :D :D but I have read good reviews for their Rainforest range - shampoo/conditioner, so maybe it does suit some ppl :D
er...what else will you add in that face mask?
ReplyDelete!!!!!!! Besan :D And that I will find in the shop next to the vegetable shop..but there I will also find cute small tubes of perfectly useless facewashes or face packs and I will buy those too :|
ReplyDeletehe he..they look so tempting na..those chotu chotu tubes!! :D :D
ReplyDeleteYES :D
ReplyDeleteoh ya that reminds me that i need to buy kasturi manjal :D....rainforest shampoo ...me like...have been using it for past month and it does give that shine to my hair !
ReplyDeleteerrr... why dont you give that Loreal TEC a try...It's for frizzy hair. I saw it at the salon also the other day.
ReplyDeleteI personally am going to pick up the rainforest rage because it's been a month I have been looking for a hair acre range without harmful chemicals and only TBS is fitting there.
I like Lush..me just sticking to it. :D
ReplyDeleteLooks like Rads sleeping..me will spammm here!! :evil grin:

ReplyDeleteohh shats..!! i was planning to buy the rainforest shampoo as a gift to a friend..!! i see its got mixed reactions...but now im thinkin not to... i dun wantt her cursing me whenever she uses it... :/
ReplyDeleteu could try herbal essence one for the cirls... although i dont have curly hair .. but iv seen my wavy to curly hair friends use it and seen how their curls look more defined nd not to mention bouncy...
Oh..I have never tried Herbal Essences..don't know why :| Will surely get the next time I see it, thank you :)
ReplyDeletethe regualr herbal essence bottles work and smell great for many.. although i found them ok.. but the one which im talking abt , that range comes in long colourfull cute bottles.. do check it..its not too expensive na so wont burn a hole in ur pocket also.. :)
ReplyDeleteI have seen them in only a few shops, Neha, not everywhere or maybe I just don't stare long enough at the haircare section :D
ReplyDeleteI have been reading some of your posts and I really enjoy them :) Before I started reading the review I already knew the product wasnt going to work, it sounds all mild mannered and I think frizzy hair needs some serious sounding stuff...I should know, considering I have curly and frizzy hair too..!..I am planning to try Kerastase, since natural products have let me down where frizz and curls are concerned...
ReplyDeleteToo mild mannered for frizzy hair :D :D True :D
