TBS Bodyshop Tea Tree Oil Blotting Sheets Paper Reviews
  • Melaleuca alternifolia leaf oil - tea tree oil
  • Calophyllum inophyllum seed oil - tamanu oil - skin-healing agent with anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and antimicrobial properties.
  • Leptospermum petersonii oil - contains essential oils with antiseptic and antimicrobial properties.

My Experience With TBS Tea Tree Blotting Sheets

The TBS Tea Tree blotting sheets are a must-have in my bag ever since I discovered them about a year ago.   They are small squares of paper infused with tea tree and tamanu oil.  Use them to absorb any excess oil from the face and look a bit fresher.  The packaging is a slim compact envelope that can be easily slipped into even the thinnest of clutches.

I have oily-combination skin that can become quite oily during the summers and/or when I am outdoors.  I have used these mostly over makeup - to blot out any excess shine that might turn up after a few hours.  I need about 2 sheets for my entire face.  I know this might sound a bit gross, but you can actually see the oil soaked up into the sheet.

Thing to remember while using the TBS Tea Tree Blotting Sheets:
  • Do not use the oiled portion again over another portion of the face.  Try to use from the corners of the sheet so you can use more of the sheet, but blot any portion of the sheet only once.  No pressing the same portion twice.
  • Use the sheets when the oil starts showing up slightly.  That's when they work best.  Wait for a full-fledged oil slick, and these might be quite helpless in fighting that!
Cost:  Rs. 175/65 sheets (couldn't find info on the TBS India site, so I might be wrong about the price)

The length and breadth of each sheet is about the length of a lipstick.

The only fault that I could think of for these - the size.  It's a very small square, and the size might seem a bit disappointing.  I have not tried any other blotting sheet, so I am not sure if they are smaller than average.  As I said, I need 2 sheets at least for my face, but I don't use this on an everyday basis, and I don't have problems the quantity/size.  TBS also has other blotting sheets, cost the same, and since this had the added benefit of being suitable for blemished skin, I picked these up.  Overall, I am very happy with these.
