Himalaya Herbals Refreshing Fruit Pack |
Himalaya fruit pack has been around for ages now, but I am buying this after ages. The product is creamy, peach coloured, and was quite a surprise for me since I had a vague memory of something more pink and pasty. It is very easy to spread and dries in about 10-15 minutes.
How to Use:
I follow the instructions on the pack obediently - wiping off most of the pack with a wet towel and then washing my face. It's much faster. The towel goes into the washing machine, so hardly any extra work.
The claims:
- I found this less irritating than the Himalaya Neem pack - the burning and tingling is almost not there. A big plus point for sensitive skins.
- It made my skin soft, but no idea about blackheads - don't have any blackheads.
- It helps fade out any healing acne - but it's a gradual process, and I think this is more of a maintenance pack for normal nonproblematic skins.
- No specific cooling effect - might be more obvious if I keep it in the fridge :P
Ingredients: Each gm contains: Exts. Erandakarkati (papaya) 50 mg, Phalgu (fig) 10 mg, Sevam (apple) 10 mg, Trapusha (cucumber) 10 mg, Pdr. Panka (Fuller's Earth) 350 mg. The ingredient list does not seem complete - no mention of preservatives.
Overall, I would recommend this to anyone looking for
- An inexpensive face pack.
- Normal-skin girls with hardly any acne problems - just need a little extra nourishment for the skin. Oily-skin girls can use this too, but I don't think it would provide any extra benefit in terms of acne reduction.
- Sensitive skins if the other Himalaya packs irritate you too much - this might be a better option. (Update per comments - Apparently it stings just as bad, but I didn't have that kind of a reaction...so now I am confused! Wonder if I just got a milder tube..)
Cost: Rs. 100/75 g (Available in a larger size too - unsure of the price of that - do like the availability of the smaller size for trial)

ReplyDeleteHi Rads...Nice profile photo. These days I'm using the Shiseido Pureness mattifying moisturiser too...got a few samples of these with recent purchases...it feels nice and matte for the first one hour, then the oiliness on my skin seeps through!! However, I'm glad it works for you. Have you tried other Shiseido Pureness range products?
ReplyDeletekhikhikhi...I've used that....didn't make much difference. I am anyway quite lazy to use face packs regularly!! :P :P GM!!! :D
ReplyDeleteHii Sabrina - no the moisturizer was the only one I tried. It mattifies my face so efficiently..I think Calcutta might be more humid a place...wonder why it doesn't work for you.
ReplyDeleteCali - Yaaaa naaa...me too thought same...like if any difference is there is long process..no idea what these normal-skin girls do :smug: see our oily-skin masks...fast fast results...we are so much better :smug: :smug: BTW..so does this sting or not???
hey Radsss...did you go to the Forum ke bagal wala shopper stop? Do they have MAC opened there???

ReplyDeleteI've been using this for a while and I totally love it.
ReplyDeletehmmmm!! :((..
ReplyDeleteHii Nivedita - so does this sting worse than the Neem pack? Am supercurious if it's just me it doesn't bother so much :D
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry but I couldn't help mentioning the 2nd pic is a li'l gross! :D
ReplyDeleteUmmm, both stings a lot. :P
ReplyDeleteMaha - it did look odd :P :P but I was just too tired to change it..no gross pics next time..point noted :D
ReplyDeleteNivedita - ohh..seems like I am very lucky then :D
hai na.. i alos find it theek thaak types.. nothing great nothing back bt i dont mind using it. It stings teeny meeny kinds...
ReplyDeletethis was one of the first ones I used and found it decent...it didn't sting me too much...just mild and only for a minute probably....but I always had problem removing it....it hardens like a clay mask :( I have to keep on removing it...
ReplyDeleteSwati - Wet the mask with a bit of water, then wipe it off with a wet towel. Then wash the face to remove and remove any bits and pieces remaining. It's much easier that way. I hate that wash-wash-wash feeling too :D :D
ReplyDeleteOh yes, I love this! And I just wash it off when I'm done--I usually put it on a little before my shower.
ReplyDeleteHi Unmana..guess there is hardly anybody who doesn't like this pack :) :)
ReplyDeleteI like Himalaya..
