TBS Tea Tree Face Mask - cooling mask to remove impurities and absorb excess oil whilst soothing and calming blemish prone skin with community Trade organic tea tree oil from Kenya.
TBS Tea Tree Face Mask - Why It Works for Oily, Blemish-prone skin:
- Lemon tea tree and Community Trade tea tree oil from Kenya contain properties that help fight blemishes and prevent new ones from forming.
- Tamanu oil from Madagascar has a soothing effect and helps to calm irritation and redness.
- Menthol creates a cool fresh tingle that leaves skin feeling calm and refreshed.
How to Use TBS Tea Tree Face Mask:Smooth a thin layer onto pat-dried skin, clean face and neck with your fingertips. Leave for 5 to 10 minutes (mask will not dry). Then rinse off with clean water and pat skin dry. Use once or twice per week, after cleansing.
And that is exactly how I use it. The mask is almost creamy and very easy to spread and can be applied in a thin or thicker layer. I leave it on for about 10-15 minutes and wipe off with a wet towel, then rinse to remove any residue from my face. The smells seems to me a combination of tea tree and some alochol-based toner.
My Experience with the TBS Tea Tree Face MaskThis mask was originally bought by my sister, but she isn't using it anymore, and I got to adopt it :D While I love the ease of use of this mask, probably because of the alcohol content in the mask, I feel a slightly uncomfortable/burning sensation - sometimes more, other times less - but it is almost always there. As far as the effect on blemishes, I did not see any drastic difference, though I felt helped speed up the healing of pimples. I know a lot of people find this an awesome mask, but for me it was very normal. Not anything I would classify as extraordinarily good - I am probably biased because I have sensitive skin. Plus, pimples are thankfully not a very common problem for me anymore.
The really good thing about this mask is there is a generous amount in the tub, and coupled with its longer shelf life, you could get a lot of uses from one tub. Cost: Rs. 745/100 mL. It is a good deal especially if you pick it up at one of the frequent TBS sales.
