Do you ever pick up products from the baby-care section? I do - I love to try out things that are labelled "for babies" (err...no not the Huggies kind), the logic being if it's perfect for babies, it should be good for me too :P I picked this shampoo on one such crazy logical day!
Parachute Advansed Starz Gentle shampoo claims to provide proteins and vitamins and comes with a "do not eat" warning on the bottle. It smells EXACTLY like hot chocolate - except it's not hot :-| It's a very very strange experience! It is a mild shampoo, and the only times I have used it is after I have used henna to get the bits out of my hair - so that's not really very often :D
If you have a chocolate-crazy kid at home, this would be a the perfect shampoo to buy for him/her. Me - am staying away from this for a while. I still cannot past the smell. I know a lot of people buy baby wipes to use as makeup wipes, but what other product would you recommend for the once-upon-a-time-was-a-baby to try out?
I used to use Johnson baby soap for my face some time back, thinking that would help solve my acne problem. It did for some time but stopped working after a while.
Disclaimer put in specially for Nooofurrr: The product was NOT provided by the brand :P

Ohh and I know that its a HG is the Jonshons #whatever the spelll# bqaby shampoo the yellow one is good for lot many things...like removing make up or also washing the eyelashes and help growth...also the ophthalmologists prescribe it for the use at home for the patients as its safe and inexpensive for ophthalmologic use
ReplyDeleterads i use himalaya's bay wipes for removing makeup...then himalaya's baby lotion during my manicure...and me like eating farex , nestum :D
ReplyDeleteVarshini - Baby wipes seem to be a universal favorite :D Haven't tried their baby lotion..
ReplyDeleteDeb - I saw the scary strawberry too :D I wonder why they would make such a strongly artificially fragranced product for kids! Oh the No More Tears shampoo..I used to like it because it won't irritate my eyes so much :D
Swati - it's a mild shampoo. I didn't particularly like it but nothing much to dislike either. It definitely is not the best out there :D It didn't do anything to my hair, but it didn't make it dry either - left it just the way it is..:D
Cali - it's too much of a fragrance..and I didn't want to try out the strawberry version, but they do have one of that too :D
ReplyDeletePrachi - Err..I don't have kids/no kids at home..all the baby products are for meeeeeeeeeeeeee :D Hubby wisely stays away :D
Nice packaging.... its so tempting.... it looks like some chocolate syrup bottle... he he :) but too much of chemicals no rads?
ReplyDeleteThat's what, Ramya, for a baby care product, doesn't it have just the same ingredients as regular shampoos. I feel most times products just get labeled or tagged as specifically for a certain group without any major difference in the ingredients!!!
ReplyDeleteoh..Rads..I to seriously thought you have a baby girl. But I think i was just imagining things or reading wrong..khi khi..
ReplyDeleteSource : Your conversations with jomol
Heheeeee you aren't the first one!!! No I don't have any kids...just made up one brat to irritate Jomol :D

ReplyDeleteChocolate in shampoo? Is not tempting for the first time coz it sounds really weird to use choc on hair :P
ReplyDeleteIt's such a strange smell, Maha..not strange smell..strange experience..not something I could get to like..but I guess kids would like this kind of a nutcase concept :D
ReplyDeleteI think if it was not for the hair, maybe a body wash or soemthing, I might have loved the nutcase concept too :D
ReplyDeletebut these days kids have so many products for themselves! When I was a kid, it was the same old Johnson's baby products and that too only up to a certain age :(
I remember only the baby soap and baby powder :D :D I don't even remember getting the whole set which had the baby cream/oil - that was probably used only when I was really tiny. Ya so many new things for kids now!
ReplyDeleteThis feels like a chocolate milk shake. :D :D It is sort of weird no... cant relate to chocs in hair.. getting that sticky feeling. :D :D
ReplyDeleteIf someone kept you blindfolded and asked you take a guess, you would be 100% sure it's choc milkshake :| Very strange :|
