MAC Evolution Revolution Lipglass - Bloggers' Obesessions Collection

I cannot pass off as a MAC-obsessed blogger, but I definitely admire MAC for the concept behind the Bloggers' Obsession collection.

A group of bloggers were selected, and to thank them for their honest feedback and passionate devotion MAC invited them to custom create their own eyehadow or lipglass.  Available exclusively online, just like the makeup-mad minds that invented them.

To be honest, I picked up the Evolution Revolution lipglass mainly because it was designed by the fabulous Karen Monterichard.   It also helped that "Karen's lipglass" seemed like a subtle colour that would be difficult to go wrong with :)

This is a pale peachy lipglass with a hint of pink in it and fine shimmer scattered throughout.  The colour has a beautiful depth to it, and unlike the general trend with paler colours, this absolutely does not make me look washed out.

It is sheer and with my pigmented lips, it is not the best idea to use it on its own - I used a lipliner similar to my lipcolour and topped with EvRev.  This is my first MAC lipglass, and I didn't know what to expect texturewise - love the nonsticky texture and the vanilla scent.

That's me with the EvRev lipglass.

Verdict:  I could only pick one product from this collection, and for me, this was the perfect choice.  It is an easy to use colour and something I see myself using quite often.

Cost:  $14.50 (currently out of stock, but MAC might be restocking so sign up and stay informed).

  4. Cali - Hmm...the collection has some really pretty pieces, but I really didn't want everything anyway because not all the colours would work for me. I just picked what meant something special to me in a way :) It's like if you could only pick one..which would you pick..

  18. Go to the Chanel counter and try out their Sheer Illuminating base - I think they have different one for dry skin. Tell the SA you want to try it..don't know if it will suit..put it on and walk around and check :D :D I love using only that and no foundation..and it's good enough for me..but I don't like too much coverage anyway.

  19. i think i saw that last time i went....did not try though...now i will :D...i too dont like much coverage though i def need one :P

  20. It won't seem obvious but you need to apply just little bit...like one dab forehead..one dab chin..like that...or just mix with your moisturizer and apply it. It just makes the skin look healthy, that's all. If you apply more na..you will look kind of fair fair...not white or chalky but you know your face will be fairer than your neck so you would find it odd. I still haven't figured if I have applied more or less so I just make sure I cover my neck too...so everything looks same fair even if I apply more :D :D :D
