Sunnyvale Farmers' Market

There are some great things to look forward to on the weekends - food, shopping, and a chance to soak up some sun.  One place that combines all three is the weekly farmers' market.  Every Saturday, downtown Sunnyvale hosts this event - two of the streets are closed to traffic and occupied by local farmers selling fresh and usually organic produce and some stalls selling yummy, fresh food.  The best thing here is you can sample almost all the fruits, neatly sliced and kept covered, and there are musicians playing some lively music.  I took some photos the last time I went there - was too busy eating so didn't get the food stalls, though.

I have never seen coloured cauliflowers before, but these seem to be not very uncommon here :)

Location:  Downtown Sunnyvale, Murphy Avenue @ Washington.  Open Saturdays 9:00 am to 1:00 pm all year round.  Plenty of parking available nearby as well as the Caltrain and local bus station.

Laksh - Green chili is a problem here too..I have to go to either the Indian or a Chinese store to get the Thai/Serrano peppers.
