Burt's Bees Facial Cleansing Towelettes with White Tea Extract

Remove make-up, cleanse and tone in one easy step. Infused with White Tea and Cucumber Extracts plus Aloe, these towelettes clean your face naturally. So you can give your skin the care it needs no matter where you are.

I like to use premoistened facial towelettes to take off my makeup at the end of a long day when I am too tired to bother with a proper makeup remover.  I do a quick wipe and then wash my face.  My latest purchase is from Burt's Bees.  These wipes come in cheery yellow, travel-friendly packaging.

The wipes are generously sized (18 x 20 cm) and have a sharp clean smell to them.  The premoistened wipes make a quick job of cleaning most of the grime and makeup from my face, though eye makeup like eyeliners might take a bit more effort.  Not an issue for me since I hardly ever use waterproof makeup, and it all gets taken care of with a soap-and-water wash.  I do feel a very slight irritation with these wipes, but it's very minimal.  While I feel it's something I should mention in a review, it's not really a concern for me, and I do have very sensitive skin.

Brownie Points:  I don't go looking for cruelty-free/ecofriendly products, but it's nice to know Burt's Bees follows these principles - No animal testing.  No phthalates, parabens, or petrochemicals.

Verdict:  A simple yet effective facial wipe, though if you use a lot of waterproof products this might not be your best choice for makeup removal.

  8. I always feel the "little door at the front" will pop open and the tissues inside will get dry...so I always keep it face down...door down...Not that it opens or anything, but I keep worrying about it :P :P What tissues did you get..so cool ones???? :P

  9. But the little door is actually better than those 'stick paste' doors...i always keep a pack in my bag and just when I am half way through it looses the adhesiveness and tissues get all dry :(

  10. Haaan that is also there! I never carry these around in my bag. I get smaller, travel-size kinds for the bag. I think the bigger bulkier ones tend to unstick like that.
