All bark and no bite, this rich facial cleansing cream is gentle, yet effective. Naturally cleansing soap bark and healing aloe vera moisturize and soften skin while effectively removing makeup and dirt. Meanwhile, chamomile and echinacea soothe and calm for naturally fresh, healthy skin.
In a perfect world, my skin would be perfect (what can I say..my dinner was cheesy :P :P), but in real life, I have confused oily skin that gets mysterious dry patches, and I am always on the look out for face washes that can give me the squeaky clean feel without drying it out. I got the Burt's Bees Soap Bark and Chamomille cream cleanser as a part of some Burt's Bees kit, and I just kept putting off using it because for some reason I just felt it would be quite useless on my oily skin. Turns out I was SO wrong!!!
This is a creamy white cleanser that doesn't lather much. Despite the nonlathering, it does an awesome job of removing any grime/oiliness from my face without a dry-stretchy feeling. It also leaves a cool, tingling fesh feeling to the skin which I love. A little goes a long way, and I feel like I need lesser amount than what I use with other cleansers.
Burt's Bees is turning out to be one of my favorite brands - inexpensive, natural ingredients, and effective. The Soap Bark and Chamomille cream cleanser is another winner for me. It manages to clean up my oily skin, yet is gentle and nondrying. A great choice for the oily-combination skin types. If your skin is very oily, this might be a bit mild but should work great as the morning cleanser.

This sounds amazing Rads...I wish we could get Burtbees here in India..Time to tell all these new online shopping sites to have a look at this brand too for the collection!! :D :D :D :D
ReplyDeleteHaan you try some online site and tell naaa..you tho good with online shopping :)
ReplyDeleteNice review Rads :)
ReplyDeletehmmm, nice. i should have seen this before i picked up some local brand called simple's face wash - which isnt bad too. but this sounds nice :D
ReplyDeleteI have only one thing BB and hated it...was the beewax lipbalm maybe the minty smell puts me off...I will give them a try again maybe then if u saying so =/
ReplyDeleteNoooo Deb...this cleanser has a smell..I forgot to mention it. It's best described as medicinal I guess, but I got so used to it now I don't mind. And there is a 'different" smell to Burt's Bees products..not all..but many of them are a little odd smelling. I assume it's because they don't use perfumes to cover up the smell of the product, and I kind of get used to it after a while so I don't notice it. The lip balms, though, are quite neutral tasting/smelling to me. I never ever buy mint-based ones - hate mint :| Got TBS lipscuff..has a bit of a minty taste..but that was okay..generally, though, I stay away from mint.
ReplyDeleteGaea - I think the local brands would be quite good too, especially in places like Australia where they are quite strict about ingredients and quality control..besides it's fun to try out local brands, isn't it? ;D :)
ReplyDeleteOoppps wrong winky smiley..but never mind :D
ReplyDeleteAarthi - It is a nice product :)
ReplyDeleteYea here they have but now I don't know BB isn't enticing me =/ I think so many are better like yes to carrots and yes to cucumbers, tbs, lush, sabon, and many others that are truly organic and cheaper than BB, so you see they got a enemy in me now :D :P
ReplyDeleteI too want to try Yes to Carrors/Cucumber/Vegetables :P :P :P They have such cute colourful packaging na..Burt's Bees is the affordable drugstore product here :D
ReplyDeletehere is opposite xD Yes to 'range' is way more cheap...also have u tried yet any Aussie hair care? I am thinking giving it a try as ppl rave abt it and now it seems available...also i got long hair now =|
ReplyDeleteNo, I haven't tried it yet, Deb. Not sure if it's available here, but I have heard of it, so I guess it is there here somewhere :D I have a long long shopping wishlist :|
