I have read so many good reviews on ELF makeup, especially their brushes, and a trip to Target invariably finds me scanning the shelves for something interesting to try out. I finally made up my mind and picked up the powder brush from the ELF Studio line.
The brush comes packaged in a transparent plastic pouch that can be used to store it in. The handle is a classy matte black with a glossy black ferrule portion. It's a flat-top brush with synthetic, black bristles.
My experience with this brush: This is one of the most inexpensive brushes I have tried, and for this price, this is probably a good deal. If, however, you are not really looking at it from a budget point of view, here's what I feel:

My experience with this brush: This is one of the most inexpensive brushes I have tried, and for this price, this is probably a good deal. If, however, you are not really looking at it from a budget point of view, here's what I feel:
- It looks classy and is reasonably soft - at least not really scratchy. However, I have tried softer brushes from drugstore brands (Ecotools).
- The brush I got shed quite a few bristles in the beginning. While it doesn't shed at the same alarming rate now, I do find a stray bristle poking out every now and then (can actually see one in the second photo).
- ELF calls this a powder brush, but I use this mainly for buffing/blending. I haven't found it an efficient powder brush and/or a foundation brush.
