L'Occitane Ultra Rich Lip Balm

With lips that tend to dry out at the slightest excuse, I manage to test out a lot of lip balms.  Generally, I try to use products that contain natural ingredients like shea butter, coconut oil, etc., and the latest lip balm I am trying out is the L'Occitane Ultra Rich lip balm.

The lip balm comes packaged in a tube which makes it easy to apply.  It is a plain cream-coloured lip balm with a sweet vanilla smell to it.  While I find the lip balm applies quite smoothly, if it is very cold, the product might get a bit hardened.

With ingredients like beeswax, shea butter, carnauba wax, and castor oil, this is definitely filled with moisturizing ingredients.  I love this lip balm, and it does a fabulous job of keeping my lips soft and moisturized.  It is one of the more expensive lip balms especially for the quantity, but it sure does a good job, so I really cannot complain much.  I get a slight burning/irritation with applying this lip balm when my lips are cracked (yup, it gets that bad) - not sure if it's just skin being hurt and sensitive or if it's some ingredient in the balm - but when my lips are normal I don't have any such problem.

  1. hmmmmm..interesting...how can applying lip balm hurt?? :O .... I hope it is not reacting!..but it stays good with good lips naa..so probably that burning sensation is of healing....

Yaaa is cos of healing only I guess, but I don't usually get that with the Burt's Bees lip balms so was wondering if it's just somethign with this. My lips were so badly cracked in between cos it's really dry here with low humidity. Now I am drinking so much water :D :D :D

  6. Haaaa it's just 5 g ...won't take long to finish this one :D :D I use it every day and at least 3 times..I am a borderline lip balm addict :D

  7. your lips might be hurting because of the plumping reaction....save this for me....try some normal vaseline dabba :smug:

  8. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! It no plump plump anything :P cos when my lips aren't chapped it no hurt..like it doesn't hurt normal lips..only when skin is hurt it adds to it and only for a second after that it disappears :D

  9. Did you check out the facebook promo L'Occitane is hosting? You can get a free hand cream and 15% off. I love their products and went on a bit of a spree today with my coupon. Picked up the hibiscus lip balm. It is amazing!
