Burts Bees Naturally Nourishing Milk Shea Butter Body Wash Dry Skin Moisturizer

Just as much as I love trying out body butters and lotions, I also love trying out body washes, the more moisturizing the better.  I have very dry and sensitive skin, so these are products I am always looking out for, especially in the winters.  My latest trial is the Burt's Bees Naturally Nourishing Milk and Shea Butter body wash.  With the goodness of milk and shea butter, this seemed just what my dry skin needed!

This is a creamy white body wash that smells like to me like dry coconut - not really my favorite.  It gives a soft, gentle lather - actually lathers much less than regular soaps or body washes, probably due to it's ingredients.  It's quite easy to wash off and definitely does leave my skin dry, though I am not sure if it provides any extra moisture.  I guess the shea butter and milk extracts counteract any drying effects, but this is quite a mild soap anyway.  If you love a lot of lather and a squeaky clean feel after a bath, you might as well skip this body wash.  I do appreciate how gentle it is on my dry skin, but I do wish it smelled like something other than coconuts or was fragrance-free.

  3. Rads, I have the full-size of this one & haven't used it yet. I like lather in my body washes. I hope it doesn't work out to be too bland!

  4. Uh-ohhh...hope you like it. I didn't have a proper loofah, so that might be another reason I didn't like it..but the lather definitely seems mild. Do let me know if you find the smell a bit odd..I was wondering if the bottle I have is an older stock or something :|

  5. It does smell coconut-y...I don't mind that. Kinda reminds me of TBS Coconut cream body wash. I hope it doesn't give me the un-clean feeling. Will use & let you know :D

  7. Oh..maybe some problem with distribution..have seen it here at Target. Know what, Deb, the drugstore brands in the EU countries are pretty awesome..is only in places like India where there are no decent drugstore brands that we go all ga-gaaaa over Lush and TBS. Not that they aren't good, but it's like those are the only options we have.
