This set contains:
- 0.5 oz Lavender Pre-Shave Oil
- 1 oz Lavender Shaving Cream
- Shaving Brush
- 0.5 oz Lavender After-Shave Balm
check wiki info here). This is slightly smaller than regular-size brushes but is quite usable. Two main problems with it:
The Badger Shaving Brush
- A strange, musty kind of smell, probably because of the natural hair used.
- It sheds a LOT. Right out of the box it shed, and it continues to shed even now. Have to add, though, it is impressive that the brush continues to remain densely packed despite all that shedding :P
The Art of Shaving Pre-Shave Oil with Lavender Essential Oils for Sensitive Skin
A light oil, to be applied prior to shaving. While it does seem alarmingly oily initially, it gets absorbed quite fast and seems almost like a moisturizer after a while. It has a slight lavender smell to it - not the artificial cloyingly sweet lavender smell but more of a herbal smell to it. Not something you would have to be embarrassed confessing to using :D
The Art of Shaving Cream with Lavender Essential Oils for Sensitive Skin
Creamy and white, this gives a very soft lather. Again, has the same mild lavender/herbal smell to it. You do need to use up more of the product than you would with some of the other regular shaving creams because the lather is so gentle and mild.
The Art of Shaving After-Shave Balm with Lavender Essential Oils and Vitamin C for Sensitive Skin
This is easily the best product in the kit. Unlike the usual after-shave experience, you won't be re-enacting Macaulay Culkin in Home Alone with this after-shave balm. There is absolutely no stinging sensation, and this is more like a soothing moisturizer.
