This tiny bottle of Benefit Posietint Lip and Cheek stain was part of the Sephora exclusive Benefit Feelin' Cheeky! Minis (review here) - the regular full-size bottle would have 12 mL of product.  The Benefit Posietint is described as a poppy pink colour, a bright pink that I wouldn't normally pick up for myself.  The consistency is of a creamy liquid and much easier to apply than the more runny Benetint.

How to Use the Benefit Cosmetics Posietint Lip and Cheek Stain

Benefit recommends dabbing the stain on to the cheeks and blending with your fingers.  For use as a lip stain, dab the product on to the lips for a natural-looking stained effect.  I don't use this as a lip stain since it tends to be drying and not really that effective on my unevenly pigmented lips.  If you have pale lips, this would work great, though.  For my cheeks, I learned from a very helpful comment left on my review of the Benefit Benetint Lip and Cheek stain (thank you, Fieran), and I use a flat-top brush to dab and blend the product on.  I find this an easier method to apply since the brush fibres don't absorb the product like how my fingers do.

The other two swatches are Benefit Cosmetics High Beam (the whitish one) and Benetint.
The bright poppy pink color gets quite toned down by my naturally dark color, but it definitely shows up well with layering.  It's easy to build up the color, but I prefer a more natural flush rather than a strong cheek color.  I tried to get a photo but because of the poor winter light together with my darker skin tone, I just couldn't get the blush to show up in the photo :|

Benefit Cosmetics Posietint Lip and Cheek Stain - Ingredients

Water, Ethylhexyl stearate, butylene glycol, hydroxyethyl acrylate/sodium acryloyldimethyl taurate crosspolymer, pentylene glycol, phenoxyethanol, squalane, polysorbate 60, titanium dioxide (CI 77891), disodium EDTA, tetrasodium EDTA, iron oxides (CI 77492), Red 27o (CI 45410), iron oxides (CI 77499). N° 03540/N.  Please read the ingredient list on the packaging of your product to be sure that the ingredients are appropriate for your personal use.

Overall, the Benefit Posietint is a fabulous and easy-to-use product, and the shade would work for a wide range of skin tones but might be a little too subtle on darker tones.  I have oily/combination skin type, and this has not irritated my skin or caused any breakouts so far.  The color stays on my cheeks for at least 6-7 hours, but I do have to mention that I don't stay in a very hot/humid place.  The warm poppy pink shade might be a better choice for spring/summer, but with the blogosphere already swarming with spring 2012 makeup, I guess this would fit right in :D
