Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eyeliner in Perversion - blackest matte black eyeliner from Urban Decay now available in a full-size version.  These cushiony, creamy eye pencils deliver powerful, vibrant color that slides on smooth and stays soft and creamy for blending (about 30 seconds), then dries to a long-lasting finish that won't budge.

I am obsessed with smokey eyes and black eyeliners, and I have always wanted to buy the Urban Decay eyeliner in Zero.  When I finally did get ready to buy it, though, UD came out with the full-size version of the blackest black matte eyeliner (their claim) in Perversion.  Blackest black?  I had to get it!  Like all Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On eyeliners, Perversion too is super soft and glides on like a dream.  It is a matte black and truly BLACK.  Being an Indian, I have seen my fair share of black eyeliners/kajals, and I have to agree this is one of the blackest I have seen, and the gentlest swipe gives a true black colour.

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eyeliner in Perversion - Swatches

The swatches took a lot of rubbing and water treatment but didn't really go beyond slight fading.  The last photo I have really scrubbed and rubbed, and my skin almost turned red but the swatches refuse to go!
While the swatches are almost impossible to get rid off, on my eyes things are a little different.  On my waterline, this stays about 2 hours  about 3-4 hours and starts to fade gradually. I don't really have much complaints with that - my eyes water a lot and nothing lasts longer than that.  When used to line the upper/lower lash line, though, I find that thicker lines can lead to some serious smudging.  The colour never disappears, but it does transfer to the crease area.  I guess the problem can be solved by ensuring that you don't apply it on too thick and using a primer, but it's just something to keep in mind.  End of the day, I still need a serious makeup remover to get this thing off!

And this is me with the UD Eyeliner in Perversion

Urban Decay Blackest Black Eyeliner - Perversion

Smudging/transferring issues notwithstanding, this is definitely going to be my favorite liner for a long, long time.  The only other fault I could find is because the pencil is so soft, and I use it so liberally, it needs a lot of sharpening, and the pencil is rapidly decreasing in size.  I so wish UD would get the price a little lower and/or make the pencil a little longer :D

  4. Hi Rads,

The rich black color looks lovely on your eyes. Have you tried Mac's Feline Kohl Power? I am nearing the end of mine and I am thinking about perversion now just for kicks and laughs. But I have a feeling I might go back to feline since I know the formula of US liners are a little too "Glide-y" for me..if you knwo what I mean :) .In terms of staying put on waterline Feline is THE BEST I have tried. The best part about is it not THAT smudgy. I use it even on my upper lashline , but making sure to draw a really thin line really close to my upper lashline and its just perfect. You should try that.

    3. Hheheeee I knew it Jane :D :D :D These don't really smudge with thin lines, either...I just had to try the thick black lines and if not smudged properly, then this smudges. I know what you meant by the Glidey feeling...first time I tried them I found it very odd..never tried something like this. I don't get them in India, so I am grabbing UD products like the world is going to end :D :D :D :D :D :D :D Feline never tried...when MAC "released" it in India, I didn't get even one in Bangalore...keep thinking I should pick one up when I am here..
