Created in 1963, Dior's "Cult-favorite Magic Multi-tasker" is the key to truly terrific nails. This creamy salve encourages nail growth, improves nail strength, and conditions cuticles. It can be massaged into the base of nail pre- or post- polish.  An extremely effective cream that encourages nail growth and improves resistance.  Apply in the evening, gently massaging into the nail and leave it on overnight.

Dior is known for a lot of products - the fabulous perfumes and the much-raved about Dior Addicts - but as I was looking at some of the nail polishes, I noticed this little vintage-looking white tub sitting on the counter.  Turns out, this quiet thing is one with a huge fan following - the must-have nail/cuticle cream from Dior - Creme Abricot!

Dior's Creme Abricot is a bright apricot-coloured cream that comes in a really small tub (for the price).  Overwhelming sweet fragrance, thick, goopy texture, and the tiny tub comes packed to the top - quite a messy affair and difficult to keep clean, for me at least.  Get beyond all this, and you get a super greasy, thick, sticky, goopy product that sticks on to nails and cuticles like nothing I have ever seen and works literally overnight on the driest skin!

Ages back, I remember an army-issue balm that my dad would carry around with him all the time - a supercharged petroleum jelly made specifically for use at high altitude (I am talking Himalayas high) areas and that could sort any dry skin issue in no time.  The Dior Creme Abricot is the closest I have seen to that.  The supersweet smell to it, I am sure that's put in there to mask the strong smell of mineral oil.  Dior recommends using this overnight, and for good reason - the texture is so thick and sticky, it would be really inconvenient to use this during the day, unless like me, you really don't do much all day :P  While the quantity might seem a bit less, a little goes a long way with this product, and I see this tiny tub lasting me quite a while.  Overall, a MUST-HAVE from Dior.

While I do spend a good amount on makeup, I have always been a skincare girl at heart.  I would rather spend $$$ on good skincare than on the latest limited edition lipgloss, and the Dior Creme Abricot just reinforces that belief.  The next time you are at the Dior counter, do something nice for your nails, and pick this little white tub...and maybe a bottle or two of nail polish :P

  3. I seriously LOVE this stuff. One little pot has lasted me about 2 years (lol sounds gross, but I just use a little scooper to scoop it out so I don't have to touch it). It's amazing, though. It's nice and thick and nourishing and it actually STAYS on my cuticles. I used to have the nastiest cuticles ever, and after using the Abricot cream for about a week, they were perfect. I also use it on my lips sometimes too if I scoop out too much and have a little extra left over :)
