What's In My Bag: The Travel Edition

I love reading the "What's In My Bag" posts that are so common with makeup/fashion blogs - peeping into another person's bag is so much fun online :D  We went on a short trip last weekend, and as I was packing I got the idea of doing a post of my own too on what I pack for a short trip - makeup and beauty-wise - in my small handbag.  I used my Fossil crossbody bag since it's convenient and light/small enough to carry around everywhere yet, surprisingly, manages to hold a lot of things!  So, here's what I carried with me this time...

Fossil Key-Per Tote Crossbody Satchel Handbag Travel
Fossil Key-Per Tote
Skincare Essentials Travel - Neutrogena Sunblock NARS Tinted Moisturizer Maybelline Lip Balm Lush Dream Cream Face Crabtree and Evelynn
Skincare:  Crabtree and Evelyn Body Lotion, Maybelline Baby Lips Balm, Neutrogena Ultra-Sheer Dry Touch Sunblock, NARS Tinted Moisturizer, and Lush Dream Cream (I store it in a small sampler tub and use it for my face).  I have read a million times - mostly in sunscreen adverts - about how using sunscreens/sunblocks prevents tanning but doesn't work that way for me!
Makeup Essentials Travel - Chanel Eyelash Curler Matte Lumiere Powder Foundation Josie Maran Argan Blush Diorshow Mascara
Makeup:  Chanel Matte Lumiere Powder Foundation and Eyelash Curler, Urban Decay Eyeliner Perversion, Josie Maran Argan Cheek Stick in Pink Petal, Diorshow Mascara (a small sample tube - GWP Sephora), NARS Vendanges lipstick.  I forgot to take an eye makeup remover, and OMG, UD Perversion just won't come off without one!
Summer Travel Perfume Essentials Bvlgari Omnia Coral Fragrance
Sample vials of Bvlgari Omnia Coral perfume - another GWP from Sephora.  A light fruity floral that is perfect for the summer, I love the subtle smell and the lasting power - want to get a full-size version, but I doubt that's going to happen any time in the near future (got loads to finish off), hence the mini-review :P :P

So, that's what I carried in my bag this weekend.  What about you - what do you like to lug around when you are on a short trip?  Oh, as for my trip, here's a snapshot:

Travel Redding California Shasta Lake Dam Sundial Bridge Photos Blog
With no better plans, we went on a quick trip to nearby Redding, about 4 hours from where I stay.  Didn't really do much there either - spent some time at the Shasta Lake (1) - an artificial lake created by the construction of the Shasta Dam (3) across the Sacramento River (4).  Took some time to find the Sundial Bridge (2) - and while I was trying to get a good photo of the bridge, a couple walking down the bridge assumed I was taking their photo and stood smiling for me to snap a pic :D

    1. Isn't the sun really burning hot here?! I cannnnnnnnnnot understand how ppl fly down the highway in top-down cars!!! Where did you go/come in CA?

    2. In & arnd LA mostly...couldn't make it to San Diego even..no time :P Getting burnt was partly my fault coz I was out almost the entire time when the sun was up & too busy to re-apply sun block :D :D But I can take the heat any day over the bitter cold mid-west winters :P

    3. Oh ya..I remember you asking about LA area! Is the same story with me too..am just too lazy to reapply..and I kind of find it odd too after walking around all dusty and reapplying sunblock. Redding had some rain so it was cold in the morning and burning hot by afternoon - crazy crazy weather..but it was fun :D
