Chanel Le Vernis in Frenzy (available here) - $26 Part of the Les Essentiels de Chanel makeup collection for fall 2012.
Frenzy is one of the three nail polishes that Chanel released as part of its fall 2012 collection. The colour is a classic, creamy glossy greyish beige. I read over at Cafe Makeup that Peter Philips described Frenzy as a "lavender taupe grey hybrid," and that is the most accurate description for the color! The formula is the typical Chanel cream - smooth and nonstreaky. Frenzy goes on slightly sheer with a single coat, and I used 3 coats to get a nice depth to the color and a neater application. As with all Chanel nail polishes, this formula is free of formaldehyde, toluene, and DBP.
When I first saw the polish, I was a bit worried it might be similar to the recently released Chanel nail polish Beige. The two are quite different, though, with Beige leaning towards a warmer yellow tone while Frenzy is a cooler grey. Another Chanel favorite - Particuliere - is much darker than Frenzy. Here are some photos/swatches to compare.
