Snapshot Love!

I have been busy of late - moved to a new apartment that I didn't particularly like, but it does have a useful patio for my plants.  And, it turns out the Indian store that I never ever go to sells curry leaf plants (and tulsi), and I came home with one exorbitantly priced specimen.  Am hoping it does well - I am doing all the right things, which basically means watering it and ignoring it after that :P

  2. So fresh and beautiful! Nothing like using it from our own little garden ;) The curry leaves themselves are overpriced at the Indian stores so, might as well grow them :D :D

    1. That's so true..overpriced and not fresh either :( We don't have terribly cold winters, but I do hope it manages. Hubby won't give the teeniest bit of space indoors for a plant - says I have enough of makeup/clothes rubbish strewn around as it is :D

  3. I once got a curry plant from our Indian store. I would say please don't ask how it turned out :) The one I got was so soul less at the time of buying.. but I really wanted to get the last one that was available in store! Your plant looks real healthy! I know a lot of my friends growing curry leaves plants.. so good luck!!

    1. Oh :| :( err...hugs :| We had two mini-tree sized ones in house back in Bangalore - potted and pretty much surviving on just about nothing..I won't even water them properly, so am guessing they are quite hardy! This one is new, hence the health :P :P

  4. It feels so nice to see kadi patta plant!!! It reminds me of childhood...in our lawn we use to have huge kadi patta ka ped(tree) and so many strangers use to stop by at our place for leaves and share what they are cooking!:) though my mom never let them pluck leaves after sunset!!

    1. Woww! You have your own vegetable garden - that's just fabulous. My mom grows brinjals in her garden, and the taste of that can never be got from any lousy store-bought version. Am so jealous of you right now!!!! Do you grow it in pots or on the ground?
