L'Eau de Chloé is elegance injected with a modern twist. It's an utterly innate sense of chic with the fresh feeling of springtime pastels, light dresses, and rose petals. This smooth and comfortable fragrance is a totally addictive floral mix. Made with 22 percent natural rose water, the scent is fresh, carefree, and feminine with a delicate and lively mix of rose, floral notes, and green outdoorsy notes.
L'Eau de Chloé EDP Fragrance Notes: Grapefruit, Cedrat, Peach, Violet, Rose Petals, Natural Water of Rose, Cedarwood, Patchouli, Amber.
Style: Free. Spontaneous. Feminine.
I got a deluxe sampler of the L'Eau de Chloé Eau de Parfum as a GWP with my Sephora shopping a couple of weeks back. Despite being on the fence about rose-based perfumes, I have used the original Chloé (the pink one) a lot this summer. L'Eau de Chloé uses a similar rose base but mixes it with citrus and fruity notes and rounds it up with the amber and the cedarwood. The smell is delicate and fresh with a predominant powdery rose note. The citrus notes aren't very obvious, but I suspect that's what gives the perfume it's freshness. For a light perfume, it dos stay a reasonably long while on me - not the whole day, but at least 6 hours - and layering over a moisturizer helps with the staying power. Give this a try if delicate rose fragrances are just your thing, and yes it would match perfectly with pastels and light dresses!

I wear Love,Chloe and I LOVE it! I don't think I've ever sniffed the original version, but your description of it sounds so lovely I MUST try it!
ReplyDeleteI have Love, Chloe..haven't gotten around to trying it, though..have to try it right away now that you tell me you LOVE it :D
ReplyDeleteHavent tried any fragrance from chloe but always wanted to :-)
ReplyDeleteDo we get Chloe in India..somehow back there, I never ever ventured into the perfume sections...everything is just so pricey there..!!!
DeleteOh ya i dbt d availability here Rads!
DeleteI tested both the original Creme Chloe and Love Chloe - Despite the salesman pressing abt Chloe being classic and timeless and coming with an offer blah blah, i seemed to like Love Chloe better, somehow! And then again I couldn't just forget Lancome Hypnose, an exuberant retrospective the moment I smelt it! :) So I bought neither! For now ... ;))
ReplyDeleteI think the sales guys just say what they have been told..I never get the feeling they are telling something on their own. Is one reason why I find buying perfumes so difficult..I can rarely decide in store with 30 min or even 1 hour of walking around smelling a strip and I find the SAs pretty much useless :|
