Jimmy Choo Eau de Parfum: An expression of the modern woman’s aura, this scent at once conveys
strength and beauty, glamour and confidence. Luminous green top notes
join a heart of rich and exotic tiger orchid and lingering base notes of
sweet toffee and Indonesian patchouli to leave a sensual memory on the
skin. For the bottle, the opulence of jewel-colored Venetian Murano
glass inspired its faceted design.
I was rifling through the pages of a magazine at my local library when I got my first whiff of this perfume. I turned the pages to find the little sampler page attached to the advertisement, and I was a bit surprised to find it was the Jimmy Choo Eau de Parfum. I have always had this belief that a lot of designers add perfumes to their line just to cash in on the brand, kind of like celebrity perfumes, without really putting any thought or care into the fragrance itself. I just couldn't get myself to accept that a brand known for shoes could also make a perfume I would like, but I also couldn't get the smell out of my head. Fast forward a few days and I picked up a deluxe sampler of the Jimmy Choo Eau de Parfum as a GWP from Sephora (which explains why it's missing a spray in the photo below).
Notes:
Green, Tiger Orchid, Toffee, Sensual Indonesian Patchouli.
Style:
Feminine. Luxurious. Stylish.
This is a strong, sultry fragrance with the headiness of the patchouli mixed in with a hint of a toffee caramel sweetness. There is a warm floral note to it, I guess from the Tiger Orchid, and a smokiness to the fragrance which I just love. An unapologetic fragrance, I think this Eau de Parfum by Jimmy Choo will have you either hating it or just shamelessly loving it, quite like Thierry Mugler's Angel though a lot less strong. A little goes a long way with such fragrances, and while I am one of those who would use this any time of the year, I think this is more suitable for the winters. Also, going by the scores of pleas on makeupalley, I would suggest not wearing this to office or to a closed, confined place to spare the sensitive noses.
Overall, a fabulous pick for someone who likes a more grown-up fragrance.
