The Sephora Give Me Some Lip sampler set is a bargain and a fabulous holiday gift - whether it's for your own makeup-obsessed self or for a similar crazy friend :P :D Like all the Sephora Favoites gift sets, this too comes beautifully packaged complete with a bow, and at $25 and a selection of 6 beautiful subtle shades, you definitely cannot go wrong with this, well almost never, but more about that in a bit. Here's a peek at what's inside.
A bit earlier I said "almost never" and here's why I added that in - and also why there are only 3 swatches. Unfortunately for me, the Tarte Lipsurgence included in this set had greyish-white patches on it that I thought looked suspiciously like mold, and that was the end of my swatching/trying. The Give Me Some Lip went right back to Sephora! Sephora has fabulous customer service, and returns are a breeze, but I still would cross-check if I am planning on gifting this to anyone. Going by the reviews, though, I seem to have been extremely unlucky - not seen a single bad review on this - and I still think with all the pretty shades in this collection, it's a beautiful gift to give or receive (currently out of stock online but you might find it in stores).

ReplyDelete:D No I don't have tons..I did buy a bit too enthusiastically in between, but generally otherwise my makeup stash will be tiny compared to most people, esp. beauty bloggers :D This particular one anyway I returned cos it didn't look normal to me :)

ReplyDeleteIt looked like that to me, at least...I didn't want to find out what it was or scrape and see - whatever it was just looked unpleasant :| Ya! The full-size Sephora gloss - They could have added a smaller size (am guessing they just have to include something from their brand) and added some other product in there. How are they, though? Didn't open the packaging of the one in this set since I was going to return it :P
DeleteI haven't tried the Sephora brand wala glosses. They somehow never appeal to me so much. Pretty sure it is too sheer on my lips too :/ I picked this up and then put it back for some reason...But good value na, esp with the Hourglass & Bite stuff! Now if only they included a teeny tiny Dior lippe too :D :D
