Daydream is part of the
Chanel Revelation makeup collection for spring/summer 2013 - a collection of new and repromoted lipglosses and
a fabulous new nail polish Taboo.
Chanel Levres Scintillantes Glossimer Daydream is a reddish pink gloss with a generous amount of pink shimmer mixed in. The mix of colors in this gloss makes it quite difficult to photograph true to color - it looks a darker reddish pink at times, but as the light gets picked up by the shimmer, it tends to look more of a fuschsia-tinged pink.

While
Daydream looks dark in the tube, like most Chanel lipglosses, this tends to sheer down qite a bit on application. The sheer reddish pink base has a healthy dose of shimmer sprinkled throughout, and this is quite obvious on the lips too. On my pigmented lips, the color of the lipgloss gets lost/toned down quite a bit, but on anyone with clearer lips, this would show up as a beautiful reddish rose color with pretty pink shimmer scattered throughout. The lasting power is about 2 hours, and I find layering over a lipliner/lipstick to be quite helpful in getting this to stay on better. Scroll on for swatches.

The shimmer in
Daydream is much more obvious on the lips than with some of the other Chanel lipglosses I have tried. It's not seen in my photo (on my lips), but the shimmer level in the swatches is a pretty accurate reflection of what you would get on the lips. I have never been a huge fan of shimmer, and this sort of a reddish-pink color is not one I would ordinarily pick up for myself. I bought this gloss online, without seeing the actual color, but I am quite happy I did! It's a pretty pink that would look lovely on a lot of skin tones and is sheer enough to not look too loud but has enough pigment in it that it is seen even on my darker lips. I don't mind the shimmer either, and this would look lovely layered over a neutral/nude lipliner or over a lipstick.
