Chanel Rouge Coco Shine Lip Color - Suspense (Avant-Premiere de Chanel Makeup Collection) - Photos, Swatch, Review, FOTD

Chanel Rouge Coco Shine Lipstick in Suspense ($34) is part of the Avant-Premiere de Chanel makeup collection.  The collection features some new, improved (extrapigmented) Rouge Coco Shine lipsticks.  Suspense is a dark raspberry pink with fuschia shimmer in it.  The shimmer is quite fine but visible on the lips, and it adds a bit of complexity to the color.  The finish is smooth, the color very pigmented, and the formula feels quite hydrating on the lips.  Scroll on for more photos.

Suspense is the perfect lip color for days that need a bright pop of color.  The fuchsia shimmers don't stand out as chunky bits, but they do add pretty bits of color and shine to the already bright base.  I love how beautifully pigmented the product is and how lovely it feels on the lips, but the combination also means that it does tend to slip a bit around the edges, just a bit, but it's only a problem if you apply the color too thick.  Overall, Suspense (and Pygmalion) are definitely the must-haves from the recently launched Rouge Coco Shines.

  5. This shade looks gorgeous on you, Rads :)

If you're concerned about the lipstick shade slipping, you could try a neutral shade lip liner or MAC's Prep+Prime lip primer to give the lipstick something to grab on to.

    2. Haha, I think that might have been me too. I've been raving about the lip primer because I could never wear bright lipsticks or even apply lip liner properly until I discovered that lip primer.

I also discovered clear brow gel recently... *SIGH* Love :)

  8. I'm truly loving the Coco Shine formula - and still very happy with Bonheur as the lip treat in my bag. The light rose fragrance is lovely. Radhika you should try le Vernis in Starlet, if you haven't already...

  10. I wanted to get this as well but my wallet said no I could not choose between this one and Pygmalion accoording to the sales lady Suspense is not limited edition as Pygmalion is and already has sold out in lots of shops nearby so I only got Pygmalion which I love for the summer. I hope Suspense is not limted edition so I can get it later.
thanks for a great review looks beautiful on you.

    1. Hi Sara! Thank you..oh it's because I am darker, so the color gets toned down a bit on me. It is a bright color even for me, and I find it easier to carry if I keep the rest of my makeup subtle...

  12. Yayy!1 Bought this and Saga last week and totally loving these. I wanted to buy Pygmalion but to tell you the truth when I swatched it I thought I have at least 2 lipsticks from MAC with the same shade as Pygmalion.

MAC has a million and one colors and variations of every shade - I won't be surprised there is something that would be an exact dupe also!! Good for your wallet, though :D :D
