  2. Those colours look horribly chalky and crumbly and powdery. I've been so disappointed in all of Bobbi Brown's eyeshadow efforts, esp the palettes, lately. Her lipsticks are wonderful (two of the Sheer Lipsticks are current favourites) but she used to be my go to for my NC 42 skin, and now she's been overtaken by NARS,Laura Mercier, Chanel, Guerlain, and even Dior. Her prices are also utterly ridiculous for what the products are.

    1. It's true! I found all the palettes just as bad, if not worse, though of course, they are all testers and so many people swatch them so the shadows won't be the same as a fresh new palette..but overall, they feel dry and chalky. Are the individual eyeshadows any better? I swatched a few this weekend, and while the colors looked pretty, I am quite reluctant to spend money on those. Have you tried those?

    2. I had a few of her neutral single eyeshadows a couple of years ago...bone, grey, and a couple I forgot, and they were ok for a very toned-down neutral look, and not as powdery as these. I haven't tried her single shadows since a disappointing palette and a long-wear cream shadow (Topaz?) that just wouldn't stay on, in about 2009 though.

    3. Oh..thanks, though :D I think in general single shadows are better quality than palettes - with most brands, not just Bobbi Brown. I will probably just have to buy one and figure out for myself :D
