There is something about summers and bright colors. Like today, all I wanted to do was pop on a bright lipstick and dab on some peachy/coral blush even when the most exciting thing on my to-do list for the day was cleaning up my my room and organizing makeup. Good thing I stuck to the cleaning. The last time I was "supposed" to be cleaning, I ended up scattering all my blushes on the floor and staring at them - and left them that way for ages after that! I did get these photos, though, promptly filed away in drafts. Anywho, now that I remembered, these are my 5 much-used blushes this summer.
Dolce & Gabbana Sole - coral red (and uberpigmented)
MAC Hidden Treasure - a rich burnt red (limited edition from a while back)
Chanel Frivole - organge peach
Chanel Brume D'Or - bronze peach
NARS Liberte - burnished apricot
Dolce & Gabbana - Sole
MAC Hidden Treasure
(for some reason Hidden Treasure is showing up pinkish/berry on my swatch but is actually a burnt red)
Chanel Brume D'or
There's a peach/apricot/red tone to all of these blushes, and it's something I tend reach for quite unintentionally every summer. The pinks and the berries go into storage until the winters, and the warmer colors come out to play. Do you switch blushes too as the weather warms up? What's been your go-to blush of late?
