Today's Makeup: Keeping it Simple with Browns

Makeup Today - Chanel Les Beiges Powder - NARS Ride Up to The Moon Eyeshadow Palette - Rouge Coco Shine Synopsis lipstick

It's been a while since I posted anything, been quite busy with my work (the one that pays the bills :P), but now that I got some time to spare, I am hoping to do something beyond my usual snacking and sleeping.  Maybe get some cleaning/organization done and get into a healthy-eating-sleeping-early routine.  I am also planning on using a lot of my unused makeup, do some random FOTDs and get into the habit of actually dressing up in the morning rather than lounging around with my hair tied up in a scrunchie the whole day long.  For today, I was trying out a couple of new products - NARS Ride Up to The Moon eyeshadow palette and the Chanel Les Beiges #30 powder.

I have been putting on some rather dark eye makeup for the past few days, and to compensate I did a very simple brown eye with NARS Fez all over the lid and NARS Cordura as a liner along the lashline (bottom row - middle and right).  I added in the usual UD Perversion eyeliner but forgot to add that in the product photos later.  Knew I would miss something!!  Of the two new products, the NARS Ride Up to The Moon palette, I love!  It's the perfect size and the shadows overall seem quite good.  The Chanel Les Beiges powder...hmmmm.....the finish looks good in real life (messes up my photos, though), but this is not something I really needed.  Oh, and the other thing in my life - the lack of light anywhere inside my house, so I am trying out new places to take photos in but without other humans staring at me :-|

So, what have you been up to of late - tried any new makeup, watched any new/old movies?

    1. Thank you! I have to keep my hair short..once it reaches that shoulder length, it goes into these annoying spirals - not pretty curls - so I have to just tie it up all the time :(

  2. I always want to use my products [the most unused ones] but I end up cleaning and never do a look or proper make up :(

  4. I love your makeup look here. You have such expressive eyes, they sell me too many eyeshadows.
I love the Les Beiges powder! I bought B40, darker than my skintone, and use it either as a bronzer or to warm up the whole face. I have ordered both new Nars palettes but they have yet to arrive. Excited!
I also make a concerted effort to rotate my makeup, otherwise it would be a monumental waste. In winter when I am very busy I kind of get into a routine for weeks, though :).
    What is your job?

    1. :D :D Thank you!!!!

I was torn between 30 and 40..am waiting to go to a counter to try out 40, but I wanted something that would be a match for my skin rather than a bronzer/contour powder, so picked 30..ideally, I think I would be somewhere in the 35-ishhhh range, though :P Am sure you will like the NARS palettes...I hope they make more of these sorts..I would collect them all :D

Oh I work from home for a medical records company...hence the lazy attire!

NARS blush sets - yes they do seem nice, don't they? I don't think I will be buying them at least for now...the Sephora ones are sort of shimmery and me no like shimmmmmmmmmmmer :P

  6. :) I admire your plan on putting something on everyday. On the rare occasion I am working at home, I remain in my PJs and no makeup OR, I put on something garish on the eyes for fun.

You look beautiful in this. Very refined and natural.
