Estee Lauder Beautiful Eau de Parfum Spray |
The fragrance of a thousand flowers, a tender bouquet of lilies and roses, marigold and orange blossoms, all warmed with a rich, woody base and brightened with a touch of citrus. Romantic, tender, memorable.
Fragrance type: Lush floral.Fragrance Notes: Top notes of rose, mandarin, lily, tuberose, and marigold. Middle notes of orange flower, muguet, jasmine, and ylang-ylang. Base notes of sandalwood, vetiver, and amber.
I got Estee Lauder Beautiful Eau de Parfum Spray as part of an Estee Lauder fragrance set. Beautiful is, just as described, a heady mix of strong florals, and the first notes that hit my nose are definitely tuberose. It's a fragrance note I don't particularly like, so I amn't surprised that I pick it up first. As the fragrance settles in, the floral notes mix in with some dry powdery notes as well as woody base notes. This is a stronger perfume, but it never goes into the cloyingly sweet category. Lasting power is quite good even on my dry skin. Since this is such a strong floral, I find that the slightest bit of perfume is more than sufficient, and I generally keep this perfume for the winters. My personal dislike of the floral notes aside, I think Estee Lauder Beautiful is a fragrance for a mature woman. It isn't a dainty little candy-floss kind of perfume and definitely not something that would appeal to everyone. Definitely a perfume that has to be tried out the counter before buying.

I have smelled this and I loved it. You're right about it being for a more mature corporate woman. The floral notes are warm smelling and very Christmas like. Lol.
ReplyDeleteTrue! I doubt if I could ever truly carry off this kind of a fragrance, but it is nice to change up perfumes once in a while I guess :D
DeleteWhat's your taste in perfumes like woody or musky or spicy or floral in general or do you stick to seasons? I love citrus fragrances throughout the year lollllll
DeleteI like woody, musky kinds..I think...and some florals and spice notes too, but in general I stay away from really sweet kinds. I like citrus scents, light florals, and even some of the meant-for-guy sorts (Bvlgari Aqua)for the summers..for winters I use the heavier woody musky sorts. In India, though, seasons are all rolled into one, so I use whatever I feel like whenever - though I keep deeper perfumes for evenings. But you are right, citrus scents work all through the year, don't they...I like Clinique Happy that way :D Tried the men's version once at the counter and I liked it more than the one I have :P
DeleteOoops..long essay!
Omgggggg I'm an ardent fan of Clinique happy. Use it all the while.
