Today's Makeup: Old and The New

Todays Makeup - Chanel Rouge Coco Shine Fiction Lipstick - Rose Petale Blush - MAC Fluidline Dark Diversion

Today's makeup was a bit of a mix of old and new makeup.  I picked out Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in Fiction at random from the lipstick box.  As it turns out, this is another of my hardly ever used lipsticks.  I haven't even bothered reviewing it so far!  Since this is a deeper berry shade, I didn't use anything much on my eyes - just the MAC Fluidline in Dark Diversion, and old favorite of mine.  On my cheeks I added Chanel Rose Petale Joues Contraste blush - my first Chanel blush.

As for the new, I got a haircut - not quite what I had in my mind, but my hair grows out awfully fast so I don't mind experimenting :P

  1. Fiction is fab. Btw I must admit I got Frivole (gifted) thanks to your Chanel review. In mixed minds about the new cream blush though.

    1. Gifted..so jealous!!! Same here on the cream blushes..they are nice, but I don't know..I picked 3 and haven't used much beyond the initial enthusiasm. It's really hot here too..so probably that's another reason..

    1. Thanks, Maasi! My hair wasn't all that very long to start with so it was an easier decision for me..I guess it's just something in the air ..making us go for shorter haircuts :D

  13. So beautiful. I absolutely adore the berry lip/ nude eye look and, since I have both Fiction and Dark Diversion, I'm tempted to see how this works out for me. Thanks for the inspiration!

  14. Jealous of your thick glossy hair!! I am half African and have a frizz-ball. I've learnt to live with it, though ;).

    1. It just looks that way in the photos, and that's after a fair amount of blow drying. I don't have frizz-ball hair anymore (had when I was a kid) but I do have mousy, wimpy, lame (and any other nasty names I can call it) wavy frizzy hair :P I think it's the water here, though, because I could get away with a wash and wear kind of haircut earlier - not now :((
