Reveal your most vivid eyes with new True Color Technology.  The rich eyeshadow color you see in the compact is the same color you get on your eyes.  Sweep on a solo shade or mix and match for a variety of looks.  Our color-saturated shades are designed for every skin tone.

Avon recently reformulated some of their eyeshadows, and I got to try out one of the True Color eyeshadow singles - Champagne.  The shadow is housed in a sleek black packaging with a sponge applicator included with it.  This color is listed as a matte on the Avon website, but it's a satin-metallic, very pale beige.  Scroll on for more photos.

True to it's claims, the Avon True Color eyeshadow does deliver smooth pigment.  Champagne is a soft satin-metallic shadow that goes on quite pigmented though can also be easily blended out to a sheerer texture.  On my darker skin, this would work best as a highlighter shade, but I have also used it over a light brown eyeshadow as an all-over lid color (sheer wash) to give a bit of a sheen to the lid.

Champagne is a surprisingly wearable pale beige shade.  Unlike a lot of other highlighter shades, this is quite smooth and can work pretty well as an all-over-lid color, especially on lighter skin tones (or over another base color in case of my darker skin).  The texture is soft and easy to blend.  I did find a primer essential, though, to help keep the shadow in place.
