Make Up For Ever Lipstick - Moulin Rouge #43 (Sample)

MUFE Rouge Artiste Intense Lipstick - Moulin Rouge 43 - Photos Swatches FOTD

I amn't the most confident person when it comes to anything that moves even the teeniest bit out of the neutral-brown-beige-peach-safe makeup spectrum, and you definitely won't find very many red lipsticks in my makeup stash.  I have a lot of red lipstick samples, though, which have been pretty much untouched - until now, that is.  I decided to finally give reds a try, and the first sampler I tried out was Make Up For Ever Rouge Artiste Intense Moulin Rouge (#43).  The color is described as a satin vibrant red, is intensely pigmented, and even a light layer applied with a lip brush is quite opaque even on my pigmented lips.  Scroll on for more photos and swatches.

Wearing MUFE Rouge Artiste Intense in Moulin Rouge

Like the other MUFE lipstick samples I have tried so far, Rouge Artiste Intense Moulin Rouge feels light and comfortable (though not hydrating) on the lips, and the color is quite pigmented.  The lipstick holds on to my lip pretty well and lasts quite a long time too - I would say the whole day, but it does start to fade ever so lightly through the day.  I have used a lip brush to apply a light layer, and using a lipliner and layering the lipstick would definitely help with all-day wear, imo.

Make Up For Ever Rouge Artiste Intense lipsticks ($20) are available at Sephora (in-store and online) and MUFE stores.

  1. Hi Radhika... that's a lovely shade. Looks extremely good on you. You should wear such bright colors rather nude/ corals. This red is making you look more alive & lively, if, that make any sense.
