Urban Decay Naked3 Eyeshadow Palette - Photos and Swatches

Urban Decay Naked3 Eyeshadow Palette - Photos Swatches
Urban Decay Naked3 Eyeshadow Palette ($52)

For the benefit of the 3 people in the world who may not know about it:  Urban Decay released a new addition to the Naked palette - Naked3.  Like the pervious editions, the new Naked3 eyeshadow palette is a dream-come-true collection of eyeshadows for anyone who loves neutral eye colours.  The palette features 12 new eyeshadows, and the common theme that links them all together - from the darkest to the lightest these are all rose-based colors.  There is also a good mix of shimmer, mattes and shimmers in there.  Here's a look at photos and swatches from my local Sephora.

I haven't bought any of the earlier Naked palettes, but I didn't have to think too much about whether or not to buy this - it's sold out everywhere, at least wherever I can possibly buy it from.  Honestly though, I amn't too keen on buying it either.  I liked the 6 darker shades but not enough to pay $52 and buy a palette with 6 other shades I wouldn't get much use out of.  The Naked palettes are perfect for people who use a lot of eyeshadows - YouTubers, makeup artists, or anyone who uses an average of 4 to 5 eyeshadows blended out into beautiful eye makeup looks - not for someone like me who is happy with simpler/easier makeup, imo.  What about you - is the Urban Decay Naked3 on your holiday wish list?

    1. A few of the colors were a bit powdery and not that great - Dust and Trick - but I can only tell from what I saw with swatching - packed on with a brush they might be good too..it's good if you can get good use out of at least 3/4 of the colors - not really for me :)

  4. I actually love this palette! For the first time ever I find myself using almost all the colors. They are soft, but vivid and unlike Naked1 don't make look like have a black eye (that might be user error, but still....:)) I think the rose-gold undertones actually standout against my dark eyes. God know I don't need more makeup, but I am glad I bought this baby home!

    1. Hehehe..no I think it's just something to do with undertones...some colors look that way on me too! Good for you found your ideal "Naked" with this one :D

  5. I think this palette is more suitable for fairer skin tones...on medium to dark skin tones I don't think the eyeshadows will appear that different! still I am attracted to the rosy tones and might pick up only on sale :D

  6. I am quite enjoying this palette with my Indian skin tone. out of the three I have the 1st and then this one and I am liking it more and more every time I use it. For reference, I am a NC37ish and all the girls show pretty well on me, with the exception of dust, which is nothing but glitter, to use it as a a eyeshadow, u either need glitter glue (too faced, LA girl, etc have them) or MAC fix+ (any setting spray will do).

  7. I am sure it would look lovely on you, and it's perfect if you want something soft and neutral but not boring. The colors are pretty but I just have so many similar colors already :(
