Chanel Creme Blush - Presage (Fall 2013 Makeup Collection) - Swatches, Photos, Review, FOTD

Le Blush Creme de Chanel - Presage 62 - Fall 2013 Superstition Makeup Collection - Photos Swatches Review FOTD

Le Blush Creme de Chanel in Presage is part of the newly launched Fall 2013 makeup collection - available currently at Nordstrom online (and I don't know where else).  The color is a bright orange-apricot in the pan.  It seems quite pigmented, but unlike a lot of coral/peach blushes I have seen, there is no "darkness" to this color.  The texture of the blush is powdery-velvety and has a silicone-based slip to it as it goes on the skin.  You could apply this with fingers (as I do) or use a stippling brush to apply the product.  Either way, the pigmentation is pretty good and can be built up or toned down as desired.  Scroll on for photos, swatches, and more.

Chanel Creme Blush - Fantastic (Fall 2013 Superstition Makeup Collection) - Photos, Swatches, Review, FOTD

Chanel Creme Blush Fantastic 66 - Fall 2013 Superstition Makeup Collection - Photos Swatches Review FOTD Looks
Le Blush Creme de Chanel  - Fantastic (66) - Fall 2013 Superstition Makeup Collection
Check below for additional makeup details.

Chanel Fall 2013 Makeup Collection (Superstition) turned up at Nordstrom online last week, and the Le Creme Blush de Chanel is definitely the main attraction in this release.  A new product launch from Chanel, these are cream blushes that feel and go on velvety, almost like a powder.  More on the texture in a bit, on to the shade I am reviewing today - Fantastic.  This is an intense berry-fuchsia shade, and as with all the other cream blushes from this range, it goes on matte with a bit of a sheen.  Don't let the vivid color in the pan scare you - use a stippling brush to dab a hint of color and then blend to a barely there whisper.  For my darker skin, the more pigmented the blush is the better it is, and I use my finger to apply the blush.  Scroll on for photos, swatches, and more.

Chanel Les 4 Ombres Quadra Eyeshadow - Mystere (Fall 2013 Superstition Makeup Collection) - Swatches, Photos, Review, FOTD

Chanel Mystere 43 Eyeshadow Quad - Fall 2013 Superstition Makeup Collection - Swatches Review Photos FOTD
Chanel Eyeshadow Quad - Mystere (Fall 2013 Makeup Collection - Superstition)
Additional makeup used - check below.

Part of the Chanel Fall 2013 Makeup Collection (Superstition), eyeshadow quad in Mystere is the perfect smokey eye quad.  The colors included are deep, dark and shimmering - an almost black khaki with golden shimmer, a shimmery ivory, a satin taupe, and a matte deep taupe-khaki that looks almost greyish brown.  The quad is described as khaki based, but depending on the lighting it can look almost taupe/brown/black.  The formula is the US version - square pans, not baked - and all 4 colors feel quite soft and pigmented.  Scroll on for photos, swatches, and more.

Chanel Ombre Essentielle Soft Touch Eyeshadows - Gri-Gri and Hasard (Fall 2013 Makeup Collection) - Swatches, Photos, Review, FOTD

Chanel Ombre Essentielle Soft Touch Single Eyeshadows - Gri-Gri -Hasard - Fall 2013 Superstition Makeup Collection - Photos Swatches FOTD Review
Chanel Ombre Essentielle Soft Touch Eyeshadows - Gri-Gri and Hasard
Fall 2013 Makeup Collection

Chanel Ombre Essentielle Soft Touch Eyeshadows - Chanel-speak for single eyeshadows - Gri-Gri and Hasard are part of newly released Chanel fall 2013 makeup collectionGri-Gri is a metallic taupe while Hasard is a soft matte lavender.   Generally, I find the Chanel single eyeshadows some of the products that the brand offers, but both these eyeshadows are slightly different from what I have tried/bought so far.  Gri-Gri is a metallic, shimmery shade that I think does better over a base of some kind.  The texture is fine and the formula feels smooth, but I just amn't a huge fan of shimmery, metallic textures - that's just my personal preference.  Hasard is a sheer-ish matte lavender that feels slightly powdery going on, but it's easy to blend and shows up well on my skin.  Scroll on for photos, swatches, and more.

Chanel Fall 2013 Makeup Collection - Sneak Peek - Photos, Swatches

Update: CHANEL FALL 2016 MAKEUP COLLECTION - LE ROUGE NO.1 - SWATCHES HERE

Chanel Superstition Fall 2013 Makeup Collection - Photos Swatches

It's a little difficult to imagine fall when it's so bright and sunny outside and the AC has to be cranked up to the coldest setting most days, but someone at Chanel decided it's just the right time to launch the Fall 2013 makeup collection.  Nordstrom has most of the collection available online, though a few of the products are still on back order.  The main attraction, of course, are the cream blushes - Le Blush Creme de Chanel - newly launched as part of the fall 2013 collection.  Also included are 2 eyeshadow singles, an eyeshadow quad, and a couple of lipsticks and nail polishes.  Here's a look at what I bought and some swatches.

Chanel Resynchronizing Skincare - Le Jour, La Nuit, Le Weekend de Chanel - Review

Chanel Resynchronizing Skincare Antiaging Collection - Le Jour - La Nuit - Le Weekend de Chanel - Review
Le Jour, La Nuit, Le Weekend de Chanel
Resynchronizing skincare for day, night, and weekend.
Despite being quite a fan of the makeup, Chanel skincare has never interested me much.  I have tried a lot of samples, but Chanel has some pricey products, and I never found anything that was the worth the splurge and/or really did anything for my skin.  Last month, I got to try samples from a new "resynchronizing skincare" collection from Chanel - and liked it enough to pick up full sizes of two of the products.  This new line consists of 3 products, one each for the day and night and one for the weekend, that can be used to supplement your regular skincare routine.  Appropriately named Le Jour de Chanel (for the day), La Nuit de Chanel (for the night), and Le Weekend de Chanel (for use on weekends), these can be used as serums under a regular moisturizer.

Yumm for the Tumm: Sprinkles Cupcakes

Sprinkles Cupcakes - Best Birthday Gift

These were a birthday gift from my sister.  Sprinkles Cupcakes started "the world's first cupcake bakery in Beverly Hills" and have quite a few devoted Hollywood stars among their fans.  Luckily for the non-celebrity mere mortals, they also have a few branches in other places (nearest for me would be the one in Palo Alto) and accept orders online.   Sprinkles really does have fabulous customer service - my sister gave them the wrong delivery address AND the wrong phone number, but they called her (thankfully, right number), sorted out the issues, and delivered the cupcakes to me by the end of the day - barely an hour later than their usual delivery times.  As for the cupcakes - YUMMM :D

Chanel Levres Scintillantes Glossimer Envolee - L'Ete de Papillon Summer Makeup 2013 Collection - Photos, Swatch, FOTD, Review

Chanel Envolee 427 Levres Scintillantes Glossimer - Lete de Papillon Summer 2013 Makeup Collection - Photos Swatches Review FOTD
Chanel Levres Scintillantes Glossimer - Envolee ($29.50)

Chanel Levres Scintillantes Glossimer Envolee is part of the Summer 2103 makeup collection - L'Ete de Papillon de Chanel.  The collection draws inspiration from the bright and vibrant hues of a butterflies wings, and most of the products in this makeup collection are quite bright, summery, and pigmented.  I bought two of the lipglosses - Envolee and Eden - both quite cheery bright in the tubes but very sheer when swatched/used.  Envolee is a bright coral in the tube that translates to a barely there tint on swatches.  There is fine golden shimmer scattered throughout, but as with a lot of Chanel glosses, this just adds an extra bit of glossiness and isn't really that obvious on the lips.

The Weekend Makeup Breakdown

Weekend Makeup FOTD Breakdown - Products Used

I was doing a bit of cleaning/organizing last weekend and found some makeup that had been put away a long while back, hardly used and some barely swatched. This weekend I used some of these for my day-out makeup - nothing extraordinarily unique, just a darker, purple eye and a bright coral blush.  I kept the eyes dark, but since I didn't extend the color out too much and paired it with lighter lips and a brighter blush, it didn't look too odd for a bright, summer day.
