FarmHouse Fresh is a new-to-me brand that makes award-winning professional bath, body, and facial care products that have been repeatedly voted by spa professionals as one of the top all-natural lines in the US.  Their products are paraben and sulfate-free as well as phthalate-free, 99% of their products are gluten-free and/or vegan, and they are PETA-certified cruelty-free.  The product that I have been trying out is the FarmHouse Fresh Citrus Cilantro Body Oil - a 96% natural, gluten-free and vegan, vitamin and antioxidant-rich body oil with a refreshing citrus leaf scent to it.  The oil is housed in a decorative glass bottle with a pump to dispense the oil.  Scroll on for more.

Farmhouse Fresh Citrus Cilantro Body Oil - Review
Farmhouse Fresh Citrus Cilantro Body Oil - the pump mechanism makes it convenient to dispense just the right amount of oil.  I definitely prefer this to the mist/spray mechanisms that tend to waste a lot of product into the air and onto the floor.

I have extremely dry skin, and I love a good hot shower which while very relaxing also adds to the dryness of my skin.  Most days, I use either a heavy-duty body butters/moisturizer or a body oil to keep my skin moisturized.  With body oils, I prefer lightweight oils that absorb relatively easily into the skin, and of course, a definite bonus if it smells good.  The FarmHouse Fresh Citrus Cilantro Body Oil is a perfect example.  This combines antioxidant rich olive fruit and grapeseed oils with orange peel, jojoba, sunflower seed and apricot kernel oils to nourish and calm skin and leaving it feeling smooth and intensely moisturized.  The oil has a light refreshing citrusy scent to it that isn't too strong but I can smell it on my skin for some time.  I use this as an after-bath body oil, but it can also be used as a bath oil (add a couple of drops of the oil into the bath water).  The oil absorbs best when massaged into slightly damp skin and leaves skin feeling soft and moisturized for the day.  It is a light oil but definitely heavier than a regular body lotion, and you do have to wait a little for the oil to absorb completely into the skin.

Farmhouse Fresh Citrus Cilantro Body Oil - Ingredients
FarmHouse Fresh Citrus Cilantro Body Oil - Ingredients
Soybean, jojoba, sunflower and apricot kernel oils - high natural moisturizing factors that help skin retain moisture, reducing dryness.
Grape seed and olive fruit oils - powerful antioxidants that diminish the damaging effects of sun, enhance the synthesis of healthy collagen and elastin, and improve skin's texture.
Shea butter - deeply hydrates skin; cocoa seed butter; and Vitamin E.

The FarmHouse Fresh Citrus Cilantro Body Oil, in combination with a good body scrub, is the perfect product to use for an at-home spa day.  Not only does it feel quite relaxing, it also does a fantastic job of sealing in moisture into the skin while leaving behind a light citrusy scent.  If you have dry skin like I do, you could use this oil any time of the year, but it is especially great for the cooler months.  This would also make a lovely gift for someone looking to add cruelty-free products and/or gluten-free/vegan products into their skincare routine.

FarmHouse Fresh products can be purchased at top destination spas, resorts, and finer retailers including Glen Ivy Resort & Spas, Four Seasons, Red Door Spas, The Spa at Camelback Inn, Sandals & Beaches Resorts, as well as Ritz-Carltons, Waldorf Astoria Spas, Hyatt Hotels & Resorts, Woodhouse Day Spas and more.  For those of us who love to shop online, these can also be purchased at farmhousefreshgoods.com.
